Varieties
Joseph Heler produces a range of key Ingredient products that are designed to appeal specifically to the manufacturers of Ready Meals. From a basic Cheddar to Continental style cheese, such as Gruyere, products have been engineered to provide a better solution to standard variants.
The Joseph Heler Parkes dairy is dedicated to the manufacture of Ingredients cheese and is a purpose built, stand-alone facility with the latest technology installed.
Cheddar
Ultra Strength White Cheddar Style has been developed specifically as an ingredient cheese for a wide variety of applications. It has the physical and functional attributes of Cheddar cheese but with a full strong cheesy flavour. The benefit to the processor is that the volume required will not be as great as a standard mature Cheddar, thus reducing the costs.
Low Fat Cheddar Cheese
Low Fat Cheese was pioneered at the dairy and is now produced for Heinz as an inclusion in their popular Weight Watchers range. The Low Fat technology also enables the Company to produce Low Fat variants of most of their current range, where applicable.
97% Fat Free Chedder Genuine low fat hard-pressed cheese with physical and functional attributes of full fat cheddar but with only 3% fat. Red Leicester or plain Coloured Cheddar is also available.
Continental Style Range
Italian style - A ripened hard vegetarian cheese of a straw yellow colour with a distinctive Parmesan style flavour profile.
Provolone - Grates well and has a strong spicy flavour. Supple and smooth and available in either mild or mature.
Gruyere - A ripened hard cheese of an ivory to light yellow colour with a distinctive Gruyere type flavour profile.
Sbrinz - Not as strong as Parmesan but a great alternative.
Liquid Cheese - CHEESFLO
Liquid Cheese - (Cheeseflo) is available as a replacement for standard block product. Cheeseflo is 100% natural and is an extremely cost effective alternative to grated cheese. Available in mild, medium, mature, Low fat and Continental Style, Cheeseflo contains no additives or e-numbers and is designed to replace cheddar on a 1:1 basis. As Cheeseflo is delivered in liquid form, wastage is minimised and it is environmentally friendly with a minimum of packaging. The final products, such as a quiche, will taste no different from the normal product, in fact, in essence, they should taste better, as key constituent ingredients distribute more freely on blending.
