INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful Commercial Team in the role of International Sales Manager. Working as part of a small team, to deliver an outstanding customer experience you will both manage existing accounts and build upon this base to seek out new opportunities overseas.
The key tasks included in the role are:
· Delivery of sales numbers and personal / business objectives agreed with line manager (Sales & Marketing Director)
· Manage some existing customers / business to ensure satisfaction with regards all aspects of customer service – timely deliveries, quality, technical support etc.
· Deliver new business within existing customer base, but also with new customers, in line with objectives agreed
· Prepare and maintain an up to date Sales Forecast
· Work cross functionally with planning, manufacturing and logistics to ensure customer orders are processed in a timely and accurate fashion.
· Become, with existing International Sales Manager, a knowledge hub regarding the processes associated with exporting products of animal origin to ensure we are not letting customers down due to bureaucratic errors.
· Work closely with International Sales Exec to ensure admin associated with sales are up to date and accurate.
The Candidate
· Two to three years’ experience in sales business to business as account manager / account executive and looking to step up to the next level, preferably within the food and drink sectors. Experience of International would be a massive advantage
· Sufficient headroom in terms of ambition, drive and intellect to develop on to become a senior sales figure within the team
· Confident and outgoing manner, comfortable in forging new relationships / new customers in new markets. We are very much looking for a Hunter more than a farmer.
· Detail & accuracy is important – shipping foods of animal origin overseas requires A LOT of paperwork that needs to be accurate and timely. Whilst executive will pick up a lot of this, being able to reliably check work, and also deputise with other team members are not around, is vital
